Founder & Managing Partner
Chris Carruth is the Managing Partner of CM Consulting, a boutique A/E/C consulting firm specializing in business development strategy and doer-seller training. With more than 40 years of leadership experience and over $3 billion in construction project sales, he has held senior roles at national, regional, and local general contractors.
Chris has a proven track record of growing firms — scaling a regional general contrator from $150M to $750M and helping CM Consulting clients achieve 30–75% annual growth. He holds a B.S. in Construction Management from the University of Houston and is active in ULI, SMPS, ABC, and RECSA.
Corey Magin
Founder & Partner
Corey Magin is a Partner at CM Consulting, where he serves as a trusted advisor to A/E/C firms navigating competitive markets and growth transitions. Working alongside principals, marketing directors, and BD teams, he helps firms sharpen their positioning, pursue the right opportunities, and build the organizational capabilities needed to sustain growth. His work spans strategy, storytelling, and the distinct culture of the built environment industry.
Before joining CM Consulting, Corey held marketing leadership roles at Metropolitan Contracting Company, BKD CPAs & Advisors, and FORVIS. He holds a BBA in Marketing from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
Nathaniel Marrero
Director of Digital Operations
Nathaniel Marrero is the Director of Digital Operations at CM Consulting in San Antonio, Texas, where he specializes in CRM systems and strategy for architecture, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) firms. He focuses on building practical, scalable systems that help firms track pursuits, manage client relationships, and move opportunities into active projects — reducing the dropped balls and miscommunication that cost A/E/C firms real money.
His work sits at the intersection of technology, operations, and communication. Nathaniel designs CRM workflows that improve visibility and accountability across business development and project delivery, and ensures that critical meetings translate into clear decisions, documented risks, and actionable next steps.
